At Fred’s Ranch

Panorama of the stables and corral. Fred is getting a lesson.

In late 2010 I had the pleasure of starting a company with a friend in California.  During my time there, I stayed at Fred’s ranch while we both worked on a new startup called Needly.  Fred’s ranch is a beautiful backdrop to the countless hours we invested in brainstorming, whiteboarding and problem solving.

The ranch, previously known as Hawks Ranch, is tucked away in the Escondido Canyon, with ocean views up on the hill at the guest house.  When you’re under pressure, you can easily remove the stress by taking a walk on the trail or visiting the beach nearby.  Experiencing life at this level was a treat and definitely motivated me to really hit a home run.

Thanks Fred for the great memories and best wishes.
